Home Gym Mirror Wall, Surrey
Surrey, BC
Project Overview
Large-format mirror wall installed in a Surrey basement home gym — spanning the full width of the exercise area to double the space visually, reflect light, and create a professional studio feel alongside the homeowner's existing equipment.
The Challenge
A Surrey homeowner finishing a basement home gym with a slat-wall accent feature, Peloton bike, and weight rack needed mirror coverage across the main exercise wall. The mirror needed to sit flush and flat against the wall without visible hardware, sized to maximise coverage while fitting cleanly around the room's features.
Our Solution
WaveGlass templated the exercise wall and fabricated large-format 6mm mirror panels to fill the zone with a minimal number of seams. Panels were set using mirror-safe mastic in a safe-distance dot pattern to protect the silver backing, with a discrete bottom J-channel providing edge support. During installation, painter's tape was used to hold each panel in position while the mastic achieved initial bond — a standard technique that allows precise positioning without mechanical fasteners.
The Result
The finished mirror wall visually doubles the gym, reflects the slat-wall accent and ceiling light across the full space, and gives the room the look of a commercial fitness studio. The homeowner now has a proper training environment in the basement without any visible hardware breaking the mirror surface.
