Custom Shower Glass & Door, Walnut Grove, Langley
Walnut Grove, Langley, BC
Project Overview
Frameless shower enclosure with swing door and fixed return panel installed in a renovated master ensuite in Walnut Grove, Langley — with polished chrome hardware matching the homeowner's traditional-style plumbing fixtures throughout.
The Challenge
This Walnut Grove homeowner had completed a bathroom renovation with large-format Calacatta marble-look tile, a soaker tub, and a full traditional-style chrome plumbing package. They needed a shower enclosure that would feel open against the bright tile while coordinating with the chrome fixture finish. The shower also had one wall that was noticeably out of plumb following tile completion, which needed to be addressed invisibly.
Our Solution
WaveGlass laser-templated the shower opening after confirming the wall angle deviation at three heights. The fixed return panel was custom-cut with a raked bottom edge to sit flush against the out-of-plumb wall with no visible gap. Polished chrome hinges, a traditional round pull handle, and a polycarbonate door sweep were specified to match the homeowner's existing chrome plumbing hardware. The 10mm tempered glass was cut full-height to the ceiling-mounted hinge point, maximizing the open feel.
The Result
The glass enclosure disappears against the bright Calacatta tile, making the shower feel like part of the tile work rather than a separate element. The raked cut at the out-of-plumb wall was invisible in the finished installation. The homeowner noted the shower was the centrepiece of the renovation and has since referred neighbours in Walnut Grove for WaveGlass estimates.
